We couldn't find quite the right rocks to build a sturdy icon, so he ended up with branches for arms. Nevertheless, he's there. He follows the tradition of his ancestors in Labrador, where inukshuk are built by the natives as trail markers to show the way and give encouragement to fellow travelers in remote areas. |
