We left our mark

 --the Inukshuk--

on this particularly remote stretch of the Labrador Highway
to let those who come after know
that the way is safe...and fun!

Inukshuk ("in the mage of man") were built by the Inuit as guide posts to encourage and direct fellow travelers.  Although in their original usage the particular designs and stances gave particular directions, today  the stone characters have become a way for modern travelers in the Canadian Artic region to leave a tiny bit of themselves to brighten and populate the lonely roads.
